2008 Racing / Sailing Program Meeting

The 2008 Racing/Sailing Program Meeting is scheduled for Sunday April 27 at 2:00 PM at the Center for Environmental Services and Technology Management located at the University at Albany, 251 Fuller Road, Suite B300, Albany, New York 12203. We will meet in the CESTM auditorium which will open at 1:30 for early arrivals. Immediately following the meeting Gene Auciello will take us on a tour of the National Weather Center. In addition, one of his crack weather colleagues will show us how to navigate the NOAA website so that we will each be able to forecast the shifts, the puffs and other weather stuff we need to know in order to set courses, win races and stop calling Gene every Wednesday afternoon and Sunday morning during the season. All SLSC sailors are welcome. Be there or becalmed!

From the North

South on I-87 to the interchange with I-90. East on I-90 about a half mile to exit 2 (Washington Avenue/University at Albany). Right at the end of the exit ramp onto Washington Avenue. Turn left at the first traffic light onto Fuller Road. Turn right at the next traffic light onto Tricentennial Drive. At the stop sign, turn right and follow the access road to the CESTM Building, #251. Park in any available spot.

From the South

North on I-87 (N.Y. State Thruway) to exit 24. East on I-90 about one mile to exit 2 (Washington Avenue/University at Albany). Right at the end of the exit ramp onto Washington Avenue. Turn left at the first traffic light onto Fuller Road. Turn right at the next traffic light onto Tricentennial Drive. At the stop sign, turn right and follow the access road to the CESTM Building, #251. Park in any available spot.

From the East

West on I-90 to exit 2 (Fuller Road). Left at the traffic light at the end of the exit ramp onto Fuller Road. Straight through the next traffic light at the intersection with Washington Avenue. Turn right at the next traffic light onto Tricentennial Drive. At the stop sign, turn right and follow the access road to the CESTM Building, #251. Park in any available spot.

From the West

East on I-90 (N.Y. State Thruway) to exit 24. Continue east on I-90 about one mile to exit 2 (Washington Avenue/University at Albany). Right at the end of the exit ramp onto Washington Avenue. Turn left at the first traffic light onto Fuller Road. At the stop sign, turn right and follow the access road to the CESTM Building, #251. Park in any available spot.
